This piece isn't about blame shifting/rotating, projecting but rather a honest attempt in helping you protect your sanctuary brother or sister be awake and protect your sanctuary.
A sanctuary is a place of safety, refuge or protection for the purpose of this piece , a sanctuary may be divided into these four categories.
1. Physical
2. Mentally
3. Spiritually
4. Emotionally
Your Mental health, Personal space ,and Circle of friends are all part of your sanctuary.
•The kind of people you surround yourself with
•The kind of activities you engage in for fun
•The kind of activities you engage in for self development
•The kind of music you listen to
Please understand that we are personally responsible for who we become at the end of the day.
Protecting your sanctuary, you won't achieve certain things if you are too emotionally invested in people who do not add any positive in your life.
Accommodating such people in your life is a recipe for disaster.
Such people are nothing but, dead weight.
Not that they are useless entirely it's just that they are not useful to you and your earthly assigned mission. Dead weight πͺπ️may help you if you are a body doing bench presses otherwise it slows you down or prevent you from getting ahead....cut it✂️
Stay away from toxic people in life who guilt trip you for what you have managed to achieve on your own and tell you that you should be thankful because you have this and that stop looking for more because there are people less privileged than you whereas you earned your achievement's purely on basis of;
- Personal Drive
- Attitude
- Self Discipline
- Sacrifices
- Determination
- Ambition
- Endurance
Toxic people tie a noose around their ignorance, arrogance and pride just to sit comfortably in their comfort zone playing the victim as they grow and go through life without being responsible for anything except blaming those who put work in.
I am an African Child and that's without a single shade of doubt but I can't relate with most people my generation based on what I have wrote.
I feel that as an African we still have a long way to go mentally more than physically,
we need to fetch our lives from deep within ourselves first and foremost.
There are negative things in the past that were done to our forefathers that hindered our growth, let's break the cycle.
History cannot be changed but we can't trade the future for Social gatherings, fun and adding to population whereas we have major shortages elsewhere.
It is within us to change the status quo, it is within us to put our best foot forward in unity and find a way to translate to the world and each other that greatness is our fate.
If this is mutual , it is crucial for you to protect your sanctuary and stay away from anyone who has not made means to achieve anything in the past 12 months and isn't making any moves towards progress.
Securing our future is the only gospel we should be preaching, prioritizing and practicing properly.
We are emphatic as humans meaning we have the capability to sensing the emotions of others.
You can't walk into a house full of people mourning ππ’ and maintain a smile☺️ throughout whether you are happy or not that's just the way it goes.
Energy is like temperature Fam, even ice ❄️ doesn't stay long without changing form in a hot oven π₯.
Protect your sanctuary, your work ethic, your consistency.
Rub shoulders with people whom are more knowledgeable than you , if they aren't they better be open minded and willing to grow otherwise they will change you instead.
It may seem as if you are thinking highly of yourself but if that's the only option you are left with, make it... protect your sanctuary.
Protect your sanctuary everyone have an idea of what they must have in order for them to feel complete and that includes their dreams but very few are willing to pay the price.
If success was a 300+ pages book most people would simply skim through the pages staring at the pictures... protect your sanctuary.
Our generation have retired from thinking, original ideas are rare and i can tell from stolen posts flooding your FB friends timeline .
Protect your sanctuary.
